Vespa Maintanance

To keep my Vespa going, all I need to do is to make sure to always have enough petrol in the tank, to always have a bottle of engine oil (to mix it with the petrol), and most importantly is to have a spare “spark plug” and some basic engine tools. (They don’t provide a big trunk for nothing). Most of the time, when a Vespa wont start, it’s usually the spark plug. Just take it out, clean it and put it back in. Or, use a new spark plug.
Mixing the right amount of engine oil to the petrol is quite tricky too. If I mix in too much oil, the “spark plug” quickly gets dirty and it will be hard to start the engine on.
If I mix in too little oil, the engine also won’t start, it could even suddenly stop.
The “recipe” is to add in a bottle cap of oil (around 6 tablespoons I guess) into to 1 liter of petrol.
Other than that, Vespa Scooter rawks……..

Look at my new born baby!!!

Bali Vespa
This hot stuff is a 1972 Vespa Super Scooter. I got this baby about a month ago in a tip top condition. The previous owner needed some emergency money and, lucky me I guess. I accessorized it just a little bit, and after a short little trip to the mechanic’s shop (with the help of my buddy of course), me and my baby are ready for the best super scooter ride ever.
I had a crash course on how to ride a Vespa, how to do minor repairs, and how to behave as a Vespa rider. All in courtesy of my buddy, Mr. Man Rukmana, Billy and Colby (Thanks a million bro’s, I love you guys.)
I have a few stories to tell about Vespa, it is an interesting bike indeed. I have dreamed of having a bike as cute as a Vespa, but I have never thought that I can actually get one. Lucky me Lucky me Lucky me….
