Riding a Vespa

Man Rukmana on his Vespa
Riding a Vespa Scooter isn’t hard at all. First of all, with my strong legs I’ll “kick” the foot starter hard, to turn it on manually. After that, get on the bike and just start riding.
At first I need to get use to pressing the clutch and changing gears with my left hand and step on the break gently with my right foot (It’s actually almost similar to driving a car, almost). And after a while, it’s so comfortable and I got so used to it, I even forgot how to ride the usual motorbike.

Look at my new born baby!!!

Bali Vespa
This hot stuff is a 1972 Vespa Super Scooter. I got this baby about a month ago in a tip top condition. The previous owner needed some emergency money and, lucky me I guess. I accessorized it just a little bit, and after a short little trip to the mechanic’s shop (with the help of my buddy of course), me and my baby are ready for the best super scooter ride ever.
I had a crash course on how to ride a Vespa, how to do minor repairs, and how to behave as a Vespa rider. All in courtesy of my buddy, Mr. Man Rukmana, Billy and Colby (Thanks a million bro’s, I love you guys.)
I have a few stories to tell about Vespa, it is an interesting bike indeed. I have dreamed of having a bike as cute as a Vespa, but I have never thought that I can actually get one. Lucky me Lucky me Lucky me….
